As a child, photography was my passion. My camera became an extension of my body. I
saw the world through the film format. I taught myself the basic techniques when I got my
first manual camera at the age of 16.
My formal photography education was from 1994-97 at The Burren College of Art, and
Dun
Laoghaire College or Art & Design in Ireland. There I received a national technical
certificate of merit in commercial photography.
After finishing college I moved to San Francisco, Ca. to begin working in the photographic
business. I had the opportunity to assist many talented photographers while pursuing my
own freelance career. I took part in art and photography exhibits as well as doing art
commissions. I photographed  architecture, business portraits and product in that time.
My next move was to Huntsville Al. There I worked mostly on my fine art photography.
While there I got involved in many social art programs, including being a founding member
of The Flying Monkey Arts Center, a non-profit alternative arts center. In July 2003 I
moved to the Chicago area.

Currently I work in a verity of photographic styles. My love lies in the production of
emotive images that contain movement and a sense of space
, combining nature and the
imagination
. My work varies from conceptual art to advertising. Early on I was committed
to documentary. This shifted toward the end of college when I became more involved with
a personal fine art approach. My interest in all genres of photography continue to this day.
