Ella has turned two, and I went to photograph her at home this year. I've been making
some notes to myself as to where is the best place to photograph kids at different stages/ages.
Sometimes a client knows that they want a studio shot, some know they want lifestyle,
others aren't sure, and some think they want one but really end up wanting the other. So I
try to be helpful, and usually with children around Ella's age, they don't just want to
sit/stand against a backdrop and smile. They want to move about, play, and interact with
whomever is around. And so I like to do the same...
here are just a few from last weekends shoot.
And what would winter in Chicagoland be without a few snow shots...
Some of you might remember a posting around this time last year of Katleen. She had
found out Christmas week she had stage four metastatic breast cancer. Since then I have
photographed her and her family a few time. And here she is with her daughter Liadian,
16mts.
On Sat.Jan. 30th at Lake Theater in Oak Park, there will be a showing of Madagascar,
all proceeds will go to her to help pay for child care for her three children, Nik, Patrick
& Liadain. So come out at 10am for the movie.
