| A couple of newborn photos with a twist. I always love the opportunity to do something a little different, sometimes these turn out great, sometimes not so great, but unless we try we'll never know. The leaf image, the parents were on vacation in Ireland when they found out they were pregnant, so asked me to somehow incorporate a shamrock. Since shamrock does not grow here, or at least I couldn't find any, I found a few different clovers and plants with simular shapes, and created the image. A couple of years ago I did a newborn, held in fabric, showing only the fathers hand. The bowing of the fabric reminded me of the shape of the pregnant belly, so came the shot of the baby here head down as if still inside. Below is a recent birth announcement. Here I custom made the background butterfly paper. I spent a lot of time designing the butterfly for the paper, so I wanted to incorporate it in with the layering of the images to show these are custom cards, no one else will have the very same design as this, which I think is nice. |
