| Below are a few images from an hour spent on the south side of Chicago doing street photography. Many of the photographers I admire most, and I feel produce the more emotive images do so by photographing real life, everyday life... Whether it is our everyday life or life that is very different to ours. Something that often strikes me while documenting life in the big city is how lonely it is, or can be. So many people passing each other by and never stopping to really see each other. | Fall has arrived and thus it's time to prepare for the holiday season, I love to get outdoors at this time of year and so have set the weekend Oct. 21 -23 as mini session days for all of you who may just need an update photo or one for the holiday card. The trees are showing a little autumn color, so get out the knits and layers and meet me at the local park or for a walk in the woods. Mini sessions last about 20 minutes and are half the price of a full session. I will also be offering studio style mini sessions on the weekend of Nov. 12/13 for those of you wanting a more classic studio style portrait. These mini sessions fill up fast so please contact me to reserve a time that works for your family, taking into account naps, feeding, sports and daylight. I am also now taking booking for the remainder of 2011 for full sessions, and have added a few packages to my price list. If you are planning to have holiday cards made through me it is best to have the photos taken on or by Thanksgiving weekend. I am taking booking for the Wed. Fri. and Sun. around thanksgiving. I know many of you have all the family home for the holiday so please book early those are busy days. I will promise print orders for the holidays on orders received prior to Dec. 5th, right now I have opening all that week for full sessions. A deposit is required to reserve your session, and galleries will be available for 3 weeks for your viewing. | Monday morning I spent processing photos for an Oak Park family who opted for the "A Day in the Life" style session. We spent a little time playing out front of their house, went for a walk to the park, played in the playroom, painted and read a book on the sofa.
