An hour spent on the south side of Chicago. Every so often to renew my love of photography I take an hour or so and go out on the street and photograph. It's always a little slow getting started, the shots are wider, but as I move through the hour I get cloer to my subjects.
I try to shoot everything full frame, no cropping (i did crop one photo in this series).
I love the work of Roy DeCarava and other street photographer who's work doesn't always reveal itself on a quick view. I'm pretty sure a lot of great street photographers are overlooked in these days where everyone is snapping all the time but not many slow down enough to view and See what has been captured.
